Two seniors receive Core Value Awards

(SPS) - The winner of the September and October Core Value Awards are Sapulpa High School seniors Joyce Stoneking and Jackson Dearman.
Joyce, a member of the varsity cheer squad, received the September award for Teamwork and Jackson, a senior football player, received the October award for Humility.
The Core Value Award is given to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the values of Sapulpa Chieftains Athletics - character, humility, commitment, integrity, self-control, mental toughness, team, responsibility, honor, and service.
The winner is selected after nominations are submitted by the coaches and reviewed by the athletics department.
Athletics Director Michael Rose presented Joyce and Jackson with a plaque as their teammates watched on.
The Core Value Award is sponsored by Tier One Lawn. Winners of the award receive a pullover as well as a QuikTrip gift card courtesy of Tier One.
