(SPS) -- Congratulations are in order for administrative staff members making moves at Sapulpa!

A longtime Sapulpa educator, Mr. Jeremy Lusk takes the helm at Sapulpa Junior High as Interim Principal.

Mr. Lusk has served as a teacher in Sapulpa for 22 years, and as Assistant Principal at Sapulpa Junior High for the last two of those years. He taught sixth grade English for 15 years and high school English for five years.

"I love the community of Sapulpa," he said. "Great place to raise a family. SJH is a great place full of great people. Our goal will always be to serve and support students and families and provide them with opportunities to be successful."

Shad Miller, who previously served as Junior High Principal, moves to Central Tech as Assistant Campus Director, where he will help guide Sapulpa students in career paths.

Mrs. Amy Sanders will lead Bartlett Academy as Principal.

Mrs. Sanders has served Sapulpa Middle School for four years as Assistant Principal. During her 20 years in public education, she has been an administrator and teacher at Sand Springs, Pawhuska, and Skiatook.

"What I love most about Sapulpa is that it offers big opportunities while maintaining the close-knit feel of a small town," she said.

"As I join the Bartlett family, my goal is to ensure that every student not only has a vision for their future but also begins taking meaningful steps toward achieving it," said Mrs. Sanders. "Bartlett is a special place, rich with tradition, pride, and potential. I want our students to be known for thinking beyond limits, embracing opportunities, and pursuing excellence in everything they do."

Ms. Gina Ritchie will guide students to success at Bartlett Academy as counselor.

A 35 year educator, Ms. Ritchie has been in Sapulpa for ten years. She brings a rich experience of teaching and counseling at Jenks Public Schools, Liberty Public Schools, and as a counselor, administrator and principal at Jefferson Heights Elementary. She will support the students of Bartlett Academy with compassion, understanding, and the flexibility to meet their individual needs. 

"I look forward to helping students discover their strengths, navigate any obstacles they may encounter, and develop the confidence needed to succeed in both school and life," she said.

Ms. Jazzman Musgrove joins Jefferson Heights Elementary as Principal.

An 18 year educator, Ms. Musgrove has served as principal of Liberty Elementary STEM Academy for six years. Prior to joining Sapulpa, she was an elementary principal at Jenks for five years, worked at the State Department of Education for two years, and taught in Owasso and Broken Arrow. 

"I love Sapulpa because of the people in it," she said. "Our families, community members, and teachers all work together to ensure our students are supported in every way possible. It takes a village and I am proud to be a part of Sapulpa's village!"

Her focus at Jefferson Heights is growth, and harnessing students' abilities to achieve growth.

Jazzman Musgrove

Mrs. Sunny Jiles moves to Jefferson Heights Elementary as Assistant Principal.

Mrs. Jiles, who has worked alongside Mrs. Musgrove for six years, will join her as part the leadership team at Jefferson Heights Elementary. She has been a classroom teacher, literacy coach, and an administrator for 15 years in Sapulpa and Jenks.

"I love the students, families, staff and community that make this district so special," she said. "The way everyone supports one another is a joy to witness and an even greater joy to be a part of."

Her goal at Jefferson Heights is making sure every student receives the support they need to succeed academically while building strong relationships to ensure all students feel valued and loved.

Sunny Jiles

Ms. Abby Boren will serve as Assistant Principal at Sapulpa High School.

She has taught math and coached golf for two years at Sapulpa, and for two years at Shawnee. At Shawnee, she also taught ACT Prep courses, film in literature, leadership and coached basketball.

Ms. Boren, a Sapulpa graduate, is excited to give back to the community. "I'm passionate about helping our school continue to grow and improve, and I look forward to making a positive impact in this leadership role."

She will help implement graduation requirements for incoming freshmen and align them with Sapulpa's Routes to Success. 

"My goal is to ensure every student has a clear, supported path to graduation and is prepared for success in college, careers, and beyond," she said.

Mrs. Barbara Lowe takes on an administrative role as Assistant Principal at Holmes Park Elementary.

Mrs. Lowe has been an educator for 28 years, with 27 of those years in Sapulpa. She has taught Pre-K, kindergarten, first grade, special education and self-contained multi-disabilities.

"I love Sapulpa because the educators care about the students, and the community is very supportive and caring," she said. 

"As a new assistant principal, I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a thriving school community. My leadership goal centers on empowering teachers by fostering trust, open communication, and a shared commitment to student success. I will strive to create an environment where educators feel valued, supported, and confident in their professional voice."

We are happy to welcome two new members of the administration team to the Chieftain Family!

Mrs. Tammy Strickland joins Sapulpa Middle School as Assistant Principal.

She has been in education for 27 years at Broken Arrow Public Schools, where she served as an Algebra teacher for 13 years and coached for ten years. She also worked as a Learning Coach, Assessment Coordinator and Assistant Principal, at the high school and middle school levels -- most recently at Centennial Middle School in Broken Arrow.

"Although I am new to Sapulpa, I have already been impressed by the strong sense of community and pride," said Mrs. Strickland. "I hope to build a culture of trust, collaboration, and high expectations where every student feels supported and empowered to succeed."

Mrs. Kala Butler joins Sapulpa High School as Assistant Principal.

She has been an educator for 18 years at Lone Star School in Sapulpa, as a Library Media Specialist and classroom teacher. 

"As a lifelong resident of Sapulpa, I value the sense of community and strong commitment to helping students succeed. I look forward to working alongside Sapulpa's educators and being a part of the Chieftain community," said Mrs. Butler.

As Assistant Principal, her goal is to build relationships and focus on communication, support, and maintaining a positive school culture. Mrs. Butler is committed to fostering active partnerships between Sapulpa High School and families, educators, businesses, and community organizations.
