(SPS) -- Sapulpa Public Schools is continuing the district-wide kindness initiative throughout the school year. Each Thursday is designated "Thoughtful Thursday," during which students at every school site will see and discuss kindness in action.

In the sixth installment of Thoughtful Thursdays, students learn when we are motivated by empathy, we expect nothing in return. Students meet a pair of city employees whose simple act of kindness made it easier for a man to honor his late wife.

The goal of this week's Kindness 101 presentation, as always, is to show students that kindness is our culture, and that their words and actions can positively impact our community 365 days a year.
