(SPS) -- Sapulpa Public Schools launched a district-wide kindness initiative this fall. Each Thursday is designated "Thoughtful Thursday," during which students at every school site will see and discuss kindness in action.

In the second installment of Thoughtful Thursdays, students meet a young football player who went above and beyond to improve the system for local foster kids, showing the trait of selflessness in action. And, he said, paying it forward all started with the simple act of holding the door.

The goal of this week's Kindness 101 presentation, as always, is to show students that kindness is our culture, and that their words and actions can positively impact our community 365 days a year.
