UPDATE: The two sessions of Driver's Education are currently full.

Sapulpa High School is pleased to be able to offer Driver's Education to students enrolled in Sapulpa Public Schools as part of our summer programs. The course will be offered in two sessions during the summer of 2021.

SESSION ONE - Room 425
June 1 through 3
June 7 through 10

SESSION TWO - Room 425
July 5 through 8
July 12 through 14

Classroom time for each session is 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Drive time will be arranged after class.

Students are eligible for Driver's Education if they are 15-years-old by the time of the session. Students need a pencil and paper each day and it is highly recommended to also bring an Oklahoma Driver’s Manual. The manual may be obtained at Department of Public Safety offices for $7.50 or online at OK.gov where it can be downloaded and printed.

Enrollment begins April 26, 2021. Students may download and print the Enrollment Form or pick one up in the Sapulpa High School Attendance Office. The Enrollment Form should be returned, with the tuition of $175.00, to Mrs. Lawson. Checks need to be made payable to Sapulpa High School.

Students graduating in the year 2024 will not need proof of the 8th grade reading test. Students in any other graduating year are required to have proof of passing the 8th grade reading test. Students will not be placed in a class until the fee is paid and having passed their 8th grade reading test (if required by the state).

This year will bring new protocols to your Driver's Education classroom and the driving experience. In the classroom, social distancing will be observed and masks will be recommended. In the vehicle, there will be no more than two students at a time and masks must be worn at all times. Temperatures will be taken before getting in the car. The car will be wiped down before and after each drive; such as, the outside door handle, steering wheel, all levers and knobs, rearview mirrors, and any other interior devices used will be wiped down thoroughly.

If you have any questions, please call Kristine Lawson at 918-224-6560 Ext. 2708 or 918-224-0770. You will be notified only IF you do not get in the class requested. Your receipt is your only notification that you are in the class.
