Wellness Committee
The Sapulpa Public Schools Wellness Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday, October 21, and anyone interested in participating is encouraged to join.
The District recognizes the important role that schools play in the development of children’s lifelong health habits, their ability to learn, and their overall well-being. Schools can improve the health of students not only by educating them about the importance of healthy behaviors, but also by implementing policies that promote those behaviors.
Therefore, the District meets annually to review our district policy that promotes the health and wellness of students and staff and to ensure its schools comply with those standards established by federal and state law.
The committee, in which we need at least one parent and one member of the community, will develop, implement, review, and update the current School Wellness Policy.
You can view the current policy here.
The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Sapulpa Public Schools Washington Administrative Center from 3:15 - 4:00 p.m. The Washington Administrative Center is located at 511 E Lee Avenue in Sapulpa. The meeting will be on the third floor in room 312.
If you’re interested in participating please contact Mental Health Coordinator Bridget Shibley at (918) 224-3400.
