(SPS) -- Sapulpa's Special Education Department hosted Special Chieftain Day on May 3 at George F. Collins Stadium. The day included track events, carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, and much more.
The day started out chilly at the Stadium for Middle and High School athletes, then moved to the high school gym for Elementary athletes.
Nearly 90 Special Chieftain Athletes competed alongside peer tutors from the Sapulpa Ping Ping Dance Team, Sapulpa Chieftains Basketball, Sapulpa Chieftains Boys Soccer, the Theater Department, Art Department, and other high school groups.
The Elk’s Lodge donated and grilled hamburgers and Tulsa Powersports donated medals for the Special Chieftains.
