SPS Board of Education approves reorganization

(SPS) -- At the regularly scheduled Sapulpa Public Schools Board of Education meeting Monday, the board unanimously approved its reorganization for the 2023-24 school year.
Larry Hoover, District 2, will serve as School Board President; Melinda Ryan, District 3 as 1st Vice President; and Wayne Richards, District 5, as 2nd Vice President. Steve McCormick, District 1, and Sarah Havenstrite, District 4, make up the rest of the board.
At Monday's meeting, the board also approved a resolution to send an historic $279 million bond proposal to voters, which includes a proposition to build a new Sapulpa High School. Read more about the bond issue.
The next Board of Education meeting is Monday, August 7, at noon, at the Washington Administrative Center, 511 E. Lee.
