Ping Pings win State 2022(SPS) -- Downtown Tulsa's Cox Business Convention Center was packed with dancers, dance teams, parents and coaches from across the state Saturday. The cheering section for the award-winning, multi-national champion Sapulpa High School Ping Ping Dance Team was large and enthusiastic.

And with good reason, too. The Ping Pings once again swept the competition, winning the titles of 5A Champion in the Mix dance category and the highly competitive Kick dance category and retaining their state titles.

The Pings also danced away with awards for Outstanding Costume for their kick routine, and the overall high point score for kick -- all sought-after accolades in the Oklahoma State Dance Team Directors Association (OSDTDA) Competition.

The Ping Pings received 2nd place for their Large Senior Ensemble, which they performed Friday night.

Practice is far from over for our Pings. In fact, it's only just begin. They will head to the national DTU (Dance Team Union) in Orlando, FL, February 10-12, after placing first at the regional DTU competition in Broken Arrow last month.

In February, 2022, the Pings were named the national DTU champions in Large Varsity Team Performance and Small Varsity High Kick. Way to go, Pings!
