UPDATE March 8: The Lady Chieftains defeated Glenpool 79-43 in the first round of the 5A State Tournament.
They advance to the semi-finals, where they will play El Reno on Friday, March 10 at noon. If they win that game, they advance to the finals on Saturday, March 11 at noon.
The Lady Chieftains won the 5A State Championship title in 2021, when they defeated Tahlequah. They look to reclaim the title this weekend in Norman! Take State!

UPDATE March 3: The Lady Chieftains defeated Will Rogers 69-42 in the area championship on March 2, advancing to the 5A OSSAA State Tournament!
They'll play Glenpool on Wednesday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. at OU'S Lloyd Noble Center in the quarter finals.
UPDATE Feb. 26: The Lady Chieftains defeated McAlester 67-37 Saturday afternoon in the regional final. That was the last basketball game of the 2022-23 season at the Chieftain Center. The girls will play Will Rogers Thursday, March 2, 6:00 p.m., at Jenks, in the Area Championship. The State Tournament is March 9-11, with the semifinal and final games at OU's Lloyd Noble Center.

Feb. 18 -- The Lady Chieftains basketball team, led by head coach Darlean Calip, wrapped up their regular season Friday with a 75-41 win over Union on the road. The Lady Chieftains, having defeated numerous 6A teams, were named the Frontier Valley Conference Champions with an 11-1 record in the conference.
Regional basketball tournaments begin Thursday, February 23. with the girls playing Nathan Hale at 4:30 p.m., and the boys taking on Edison away, Friday, February 24, at 7:30 p.m.
