(SPS) -- Thursday, September 8 was the first of three special meetings to discuss long-range planning of the potential 2023 bond issue.
The meeting, attended by more than 70 key members of the Sapulpa community, civic and state leaders, SPS teachers and administrators, was a special board meeting called for the purpose of "discussion with the long-range planning committee previous bonds and future bond planning, financing and projects." It was the first of three scheduled working and study sessions.
Committee members and attendees heard from David Reed of Reed Architecture and Interiors and representatives from DLR Group. Each presented concepts for the design of a new High School campus.
Financial advisors and Superintendent Rob Armstrong also presented information about the future of Sapulpa Public Schools and the need for a bond election.
The committee will meet again in early October.
