City recognizes SHS students with proclamations

(SPS) -- At Monday's city council meeting, the City of Sapulpa recognized Sapulpa High School students with proclamations.

City councilors approved a proclamation recognizing and congratulating Ruby Fargo and Alexa Farris, seniors recently named National Merit Finalists. The two will proceed in the prestigious scholarship program. Ruby and Alexa were applauded by city leaders and given certificates of their proclamations. They are pictured left with Sapulpa Mayor Craig Henderson and Vice Mayor Carla Gunn.

The city council also approved a proclamation to recognize and congratulate the Sapulpa High School Ping Ping Dance Team, which earned two national Dance Team Union titles in February, in addition to three state titles in December. The Pings are pictured below with Mayor Henderson and Vice Mayor Gunn.
