Changes to SHS student drop-off and pick-up

(SPS) -- The Chieftain Stronger High School project is shifting into high gear! Effective December 2, 2024, when Sapulpa Public Schools returns from Thanksgiving Break, the entrance to Sapulpa High School off of Mission Street will be closed as well as the parking lot in front of the high school. This is to prepare for demolition of the high school and construction of the new building.

- The Sapulpa High School parking lot along Mission Street will be closed to incoming and outgoing traffic and staff/student parking.
- Sapulpa High School student drop-off and pick-up entrance will only be off of Dewey on the northeast end of the SHS campus (back of the campus).
- Cars may exit: A. Back north onto Dewey; B. East to Watchorn; or C. South to Lincoln.
- All other entries to the back of the campus (off of Watchorn and Lincoln) are EXIT ONLY, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Do not block drop-off/pick-up zones and exit routes.
- Buses will line up south of the Band Hall, on the road just west of Chieftain Center.
- SHS front office remains open in its current location.
- Deliveries, visitors and vendors only may use the front SHS campus parking lot entrance along Dewey.
- Limited SHS front parking is reserved for deliveries, visitors and vendors only; staff and students park in designated areas behind the high school.
- Sapulpa Junior High will use the front entrance/ exit loop currently used for drop-off and pick-up.
