Bartlett Foundation awards grants for 2026

Thank you Bartlett Foundation!  $317,150 in grants for Sapulpa Public Schools and $40,000 for Kids Closet - 2026 total(SPS) -- The Edward E. and Helen Turner Bartlett Foundation has awarded $317,150 in grant funding to Sapulpa Public Schools. The Board of Education approved the grants at Monday’s Board of Education meeting.

"Each year, these grants highlight the Bartlett Foundation’s continued support for public education and instructional growth. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to use this funding to expand STEM, performing and visual arts, and JROTC," said Rob Armstrong, Sapulpa Public Schools Superintendent. 

Funding will further bolster Sapulpa Public Schools' educational pathways programs, Routes to Success, which is made up of three pathways: Engineering (including STEM, engineering and aviation); the Arts (performing and visual arts); and Business & Entrepreneurship (made up of course maps in business innovations or entrepreneurship).


The allocation of funds from the grants will be applied to the following programs:

Robotics
USMC JROTC
Sapulpa Bands
Art
Vocal Music
Speech and Debate

SAPULPA JUNIOR HIGH
First Tech Challenge/STEM


SAPULPA MIDDLE SCHOOL

The Bartlett Foundation funded an additional $40,000 grant to Sapulpa Kids Kloset, which operates on the first floor of the Washington Administrative Center. Kids Kloset provides new school clothes free of charge for students in PreK through age 16, who attend Sapulpa, Allen Bowden, Lone Star or Pretty Water Schools and who receive Free or Reduced Lunch.

Established in 1961, the Bartlett Foundation gives primarily to public school education as well as awarding student scholarships to Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, University of Oklahoma, and the University of Tulsa.

Bartlett Foundation grants enhance Sapulpa Public Schools' music, performing arts and creative arts programs, STEM innovations, band and JROTC.
