CHROMEBOOKS

Chromebooks are an important part of our digital learning transformation.

Each student in PreK and continuing through 12th is assigned a Chromebook. Elementary students use the devices in the classroom only, while secondary students have the opportunity to take their assigned device home. In the event of Distance Learning, school sites will make arrangements for elementary students to take home devices.

Students should read and be familiar with the Student Chromebook Handbook which explains responsibilities, guidelines, and more.

If you encounter problems with a Chromebook, please try these Chromebook troubleshooting tips. If you need additional technological assistance, please contact your school's library assistant.

We established the Student Technology Insurance Program (STIP) to give parents and students the ability to purchase insurance and provide Chrome Depot support for the Chromebooks.

If purchased, the insurance package covers the repair or replacement costs of the Chromebook and charge cord. The cost of protection is only $25 and coverage lasts for the current school year. You may purchase insurance (cash or check) at the scheduled check-out time, via your child’s MySchoolBucks.com account, or through the PayPal button below.

The insurance program is voluntary, but families are highly encouraged to participate.

Please keep in mind that if insurance is not purchased at the time of device acceptance, parents/guardians are responsible for the full cost of any repair or replacement of all damage to or loss of the Chromebook and charge cord. Please read the details in the Chromebook Handbook to learn more about the various costs. Acts of intentional damage will NOT be covered by the insurance.

No student, under the age of 18, will be issued a device without a parent/guardian signature on the Chromebook Insurance Agreement (STIP) and the Student Chromebook Care Agreement documents.
