PLC Mondays begin August 19

(SPS) -- Principals and district administrators in the teaching and learning department spent the summer revitalizing PLC (Professional Learning Community) time for faculty at school sites.

They attended conferences and learning sessions to ensure PLC time is being effectively and efficiently used to inspire great ideas among teaching groups.

Teachers and administrators will implement new tools to engage with the school community and build productive, practical classroom environment and relationships with students.
Each school site, with the exception of Liberty Elementary, starts 30 minutes later each Monday of the school year. Buses run later accordingly.
Here are the start times for each school on Mondays:
*Liberty Elementary: 8:10 Sapulpa High School: 8:30 Sapulpa Junior High: 8:30 Bartlett Academy: 8:40 Sapulpa Middle School: 8:40 Freedom Elementary: 9:30 Holmes Park: 9:30 Jefferson Heights: 9:30
*Liberty Elementary has PLC on Friday afternoons, and dismisses early on Fridays at 2:30 p.m.
PLC time is combined with professional learning days for teachers, twice per school year. The 2024-25 professional days will be on September 20 and January 6. See the full 2024-25 district calendar.
