College and Career Readiness

This is the inaugural year for the College and Career Readiness program. Through thoughtful design and a focus on student needs, the program is set to help students prepare for post-secondary education and training, which is imperative for their success after high school. Throughout the school year, we will offer numerous opportunities for students to explore careers and learn about post-secondary institutions. These opportunities include, but are not limited to, College and Career Fairs, Guest Speaker Events, Post-Secondary Tours, Internships, and support in completing their Individual Career Academic Plan (ICAP) through OKCollegeStart.
 

What is ICAP?

Individual Career Academic Plan (ICAP)

The Individual Career Academic Plan (ICAP) helps students chart a strategic path through their coursework and activities to achieve their personal career goals. ICAP involves continuous collaboration among administrators, counselors, teachers, and the College and Career Readiness Coordinator to ensure students develop the knowledge and skills necessary for a meaningful and career-focused experience. To best support students through this process, it is imperative that students, families, and educators work together actively to provide valuable, career-ready, real-world experiences. At Sapulpa, we are confident that through this program, our students will go on to have meaningful and successful careers.

Students at Sapulpa Junior High and High School will utilize the OKCollegeStart platform to complete and monitor their ICAP progress.
