(SPS) -- After recently winning the Arkansas Tournament of Champions, the Lady Chieftains will be back on the court for Tulsa's Tournament of Champions.
The 57th annual Tulsa Public Schools Tournament of Champions, sponsored by QuikTrip, will be held at the BOK Center December 28-30 and brings some of the best teams from around the state.
The Chieftains will tip off at noon on Thursday, Dec. 28 against Pocola. The next round will be Thursday with finals on Friday.
Tickets are $10.
The varsity Lady Chieftains, led by head coach Darlean Calip in her 18th season at Sapulpa, are 6-0 on the season. They were named champions of the Arkansas Tournament of Champions earlier this month in Fort Smith. Senior Stailee Heard, who has signed on to play at Oklahoma State next year, was named Tournament MVP, junior Tyla Heard was named Heart of a Champion, and Tyla Heard and sophomore Mataya Hall were named to the All Tourney Team.
