7. I understand that online courses are challenging and can exceed the requirements of a traditional class. 

8. I realize that communication with my instructor is very important to a successful online experience.

*All virtual students will be required to participate in a virtual school orientation meeting before starting their online classes. All virtual students will be required to participate in periodic virtual forums for each of their virtual classes throughout the semester. If students are not making sufficient progress toward timely class completion, or participating in the required virtual forums, they will be required to attend the Virtual Center daily, and possibly be transitioned back to a traditional classroom at semester. Virtual students will be responsible for all rules and regulations set out in the student handbook.



Full-time Sapulpa Virtual Academy Learning Program:

The full-time virtual learning program is a flexible educational program that offers a curriculum that meets graduation requirements. Full-time virtual students will be enrolled in 7 online courses needed for high school graduation.  Sapulpa Public Schools provides access to online coursework as well as face-to-face support from onsite teachers. This program is ideal for students who are striving to earn credit advancement, are in need of credit recovery, or who want to earn high school credits by attending full-time virtual school. 

Students will be required to successfully finish all online classes in the same amount of time as traditional students in order to maintain graduation progress. Students must remain in good academic standing to participate and continue in the program.  

Please note that the Sapulpa Virtual Academy Learning online courses do NOT meet the NCAA credit requirements.  



Credit Recovery:

Credit Recovery is for students who need to make up a required credit from a previously failed class.  Credit Recovery courses may be taken outside of the school day, during the summer session or during the school day with approval.

Hybrid/Part-Time:

The hybrid/part-time option allows students to take some classes online and the remaining course requirements on campus. This program is ideal for students who are striving to earn credit advancement, or who want to take classes not otherwise offered by Sapulpa Public Schools. The Hybrid option will be open to all students who are on track to graduate.  Sophomores may take up to 1 core class and 1 elective class virtually.  Juniors and Seniors are open to enroll in more virtual hybrid courses.

In order to take advantage of a hybrid class, parental permission must be granted. Students may initially be required to attend the virtual learning lab.  Students who are not being successful with their virtual courses may be required to attend the virtual lab.  All online classes that are successfully completed as part of the student’s school day schedule will be issued a .5 credit grade at the end of the semester.

Independent Study:

The Independent Study option is for those students that want to earn credits outside the school day.  Those credits can be first time credit or credit recovery.
