Course Description: This course is a beginning art class stressing basic art vocabulary and practices.  Students will work in a variety of media and concepts within areas of drawing, painting, and 3-dimensional study.

DRAWING  & PAINTING I

Course Description: This is a beginning level drawing class.  Basic art concepts, vocabulary, drawing and design problems will be taught using a variety of drawing media.

Course Description: This is an intermediate level class.  Basic art concepts, vocabulary, drawing and design problems will be taught in a variety of drawing and painting media.

3-D MIX MEDIA I

Course Description: This is an intermediate level 3-dimensional and mixed media course. Various artistic media will be taught such as printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, and other mixed media projects.

3-D MIX MEDIA II

Course Description: This is a beginning level graphic design class with an emphasis on form: visual quality and aesthetics. Students will learn basic design concepts, vocabulary, and methods used to create digital art. In this class, graphic design software will be used to create art.

AP STUDIO ART 2-D DESIGN

Prerequisite: Art 1 and Teacher Placement upon portfolio review

Credit Value: .5 per semester/Fine Art; advanced class on 5.0 GPA scale

Fees: Student pays reduced price for AP exam in May

Course Description:   This is a college-driven art class with an extremely intense workload.  This class is for students who are exceptionally creative and talented in a wide variety of art media.   In this course the student will develop a portfolio that derives from a specific concentration.

AP ART DRAWING

Course Description:  This course is an advanced art class stressing art vocabulary and practices.  Students will work in a variety of media and concepts within areas of drawing, painting, and 3-dimensional study. This course is designed for students who show strong interest and talent in visual art.  Students are expected to present their own personal point of view while creating a unique portfolio of work.
