Holmes Park Elementary students cut hair for charity

(SPS) -- Holmes Park Elementary Physical Education teacher Belinda Spears and three of her students grew their hair out over the summer for a worthy cause!

They each had 8 to 16 inches of hair cut to donate to Children With Hair Loss, a nonprofit that provides free wigs to children who have lost their hair due to cancer, illness, or injury.

Freedom Elementary has also held hair donation events for Children With Hair Loss over the last several years.

Ms. Spears and her students were inspired to do the same to give hope to kids dealing with the difficulty of hair loss.
