Cross Country Invitational attracts 1,000 runners

(SPS) -- Sapulpa Cross Country held its annual invitational on Saturday, September 4 at the Westside Sports Complex.

34 teams signed up to take part, setting up tents near the Westside track. More than 1,000 runners took their mark in Saturday's invitational.

Sapulpa Varsity, JV and Junior High Boys Cross Country raced into first place, while Sapulpa 6th Grade and Under Girls also placed first.

Earning 2nd place in the invitational were Sapulpa Varsity Girls, Junior High Girls and 6th Grade and Under Boys.

Runners Traber Lusk and Clayton McCullough won their division's races.
