SPS details plan for COVID-19 relief funds
Posted on 08/18/2021
(SPS) -- Sapulpa Public Schools is releasing details of plans for federal relief funds available through the American Rescue Plan.

With the help of CARES and ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) funds, SPS was able to maintain staffing levels during the 2020-21 school year, even with a drop in student count and state budget cuts.

For the 2021-22 school year, SPS has outlined plans to use available ESSER III funds as well as other available funding. Included in the plans are prevention and mitigation strategies for COVID-19, strategies for addressing loss of instructional time, and ensuring vulnerable populations' unique needs are met.
