Sapulpa Public Schools no longer tracks COVID-19 cases daily, unless an uptick in the number of cases is reported by students, parents or the local health department.
Those who test positive were not necessarily exposed at school or at other district sites.
Sapulpa Public Schools continues to follow CDC and Creek County Health Department recommendations, requiring all students or staff members who test positive for COVID-19 to be isolated for
5 days from either a.) the onset of symptoms or b.) a positive test.
Check the current COVID risk and CDC guidelines for Creek County.
Students or staff who test positive must meet the following conditions before returning to school or an SPS site:
24 hours fever-free without fever-reducing medication
5 days since the onset of symptoms or 5 days since a positive test when no symptoms are present
When to stay home: List of COVID-19 symptoms and key questions.
Parents are asked to monitor their child's health daily. Students or staff members experiencing any symptoms should stay home.
Students may return to school or self-quarantine with no academic or attendance penalties.
