Softballer wins Core Value Award for Dec.

Sophomore Daniah Blation and Athletic Director Michael Rose(SPS) -- Christmas came really early or just a smidge late for one member of the Sapulpa Lady Chieftains softball team.

Sophomore Daniah Blation received the Sapulpa Chieftains Athletics Core Value Award for the month of December on Thursday.

The award is given monthly to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the values of Sapulpa Chieftains Athletics - character, humility, commitment, integrity, self-control, mental toughness, team, responsibility, honor, and service.

The winner is selected after nominations are submitted by the coaches and reviewed by the athletics department. In this case, winners.

Blation was recognized for the Core Value of Self-Control.

“Your coaches talk about how you are on the field, how you always keep your composure. Just everything you do represents the Core Values,” said Athletic Director Michael Rose as he presented Blation with a plaque.

The Core Value Award is sponsored by Tier One Lawn, who presents each winner of the award a QuikTrip gift card.
