Athletic Director Michael Rose and Jaselyn Rossman(SPS) - The winner of the first-ever Core Value Award is Sapulpa High School junior Jaselyn Rossman.

The award is given to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the values of Sapulpa Chieftains Athletics - character, humility, commitment, integrity, self-control, mental toughness, team, responsibility, honor, and service.

The winner is selected after nominations are submitted by the coaches and reviewed by the athletics department.

Jaselyn won the August honor based on character.

"This person is an exceptional person who always tries to include everyone. Never puts anyone down. Is caring and compassionate to others," said Athletics Director Michael Rose as he read from the nomination form.

Jaselyn was presented the plaque after Ping Pings practice with her teammates watching on.

The Core Value Award is sponsored by Tier One Lawn. Winners of the award receive a QuikTrip gift card courtesy of Tier One.
