Sapulpa Public Schools' Gifted and Talented Program is divided into projects - SHARP and SAAP.

SHARP is the intellectually gifted program. It stands for Sapulpa's High Ability Resource Program. This program automatically qualifies students who score at the 97 percentile (including SEM) on a school ability or IQ test.

SAAP, or Specific Academic Ability Program, is for the academically gifted. The District Identification Committee uses the SPS Matrix* based on multi-criteria data for qualification.

*SPS Matrix is the rubric the district uses to grade students who were referred for Gifted and Talented. To qualify for GT, a student must earn a certain number of points which are gathered from the parent and teacher checklists, Oklahoma School Testing Program scores, and individual intelligence tests.
