Introducing the 2019 Homecoming Court

2019 Homecoming CourtHomecoming has come and gone with a huge success.

It began Thursday with the parade down Dewey and continued on to Friday with the coronation of Queen Corinne Givens and King Christopher Jones.

From there it was an exciting football game as the Sapulpa Chieftains held the Bartlesville Bruins to six second-half points on their way to their second straight thrilling Homecoming victory.

Before the game, a packed Collins Stadium was introduced to the 20 representatives of the 2019 Homecoming Court.



The first sophomore attendant is Madison Miller. Madison is the daughter of Crystal Taylor and Chris Miller. Madison is a color guard letterman. She has been in band for five years and in marching band for three years. Madison was a member of NJHS and is on the leadership team for color guard.

Madison is escorted by Wyatt Fowler. Wyatt is the son of Grant and Brean Fowler. Wyatt is on the Principal’s Honor Roll and a member of the National Honor Society. Wyatt is a member of the Sapulpa Baseball team and enjoys bass fishing in his spare time. In the future, Wyatt is considering a career in athletics and sports medicine.

The next sophomore candidate is Jaselyn Rossman. Jaselyn is the daughter of Scott and Lisa Rossman. Jaselyn is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll. She is a member of NJHS and plays basketball. Jaselyn is a member of the Sapulpa Ping Pings and helped the team earn a State Championship in kick. She dances at Patti Parrish School of Dance. Jaselyn is also an OSDTDA Solo State Qualifier. Outside of school, Jaselyn is a member of Foundation Church and teaches 2nd and 3rd grade Sunday School. In the future, Jaselyn plans to attend college and study law or medicine.

Jaselyn is escorted by Jonny McCleery. He is the son of Brenda Lopez and Justin McCleery. Jonny plays baseball for the Sapulpa Chieftains. Outside of school, Jonny enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping. He attends Life Church in Jenks. In the future, Jonny wants to attend The University of Oklahoma to become a doctor or lawyer, and he wants to be a volunteer firefighter.

The first junior attendant is Elizabeth Chaffin. Elizabeth is the daughter of Ky and Angie Chaffin. Elizabeth is a two-year member of NHS. She is a three-year member of the Ping Pings and has danced at Ovations Dance Studio for 12 years. Elizabeth is a two-year member of Student Council and currently holds the office of Student Council secretary. Outside of school, Elizabeth attends Asbury Methodist Church. She enjoys traveling and playing Minecraft. In the future, Elizabeth plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and become an optometrist (or become president).

Elizabeth is escorted by Evan Casey. Evan is the son of Chris and Tish Casey. Evan is a two-year baseball letterman and an academic letterman. Evan plays baseball for the Sapulpa Chieftains and received the 2018 Newcomer of the Year award in baseball. Evan is the Junior class vice-president. Outside of school, Evan attends Allen Freewill Baptist Church. He defeated the Ender Dragon twice in Minecraft. In the future, Evan plans to attend college on a baseball scholarship and major in business.

The next junior attendant is Leona Crowl. Leona is the daughter of Kevin and Virginia Crowl. Leona has an academic letter and placed 3rd on the Spanish National Exam. Leona is on the cross country and track team. She is also in performance theatre and plays piano at Presley Piano Studios. Leona is the Key Club President and the Spanish National Honor Society President. Outside of school, Leona attends the Church of St. Mary in Tulsa, where she is active in her youth group. She also teaches Religious Education to 4th and 5th graders. In the future, Leona wants to run cross country and study ecology and environmental biology.

Leona is escorted by Cyrus Mortazavi. Cyrus is the son of Lisa and Jerry Mortazavi. Cyrus has an academic letter and a varsity track letter. Cyrus runs cross country and track and is a member of student council. Currently, Cyrus is the president of the junior class and is on the NHS executive board. He is a world famous Tik Tok star. Outside of school, Cyrus is on the leadership team at FBC in Sapulpa. In the future, Cyrus plans to go to OU and become a lawyer.

The final junior attendant is Heather Sparks. Heather is the daughter of Elizabeth and Monte Sparks. Heather is a member of the National Honor Society. She is on the Sapulpa Ping Pings team and has lettered in volleyball and tennis. Heather was the sophomore class treasurer and the current Student Council president. Outside of school, Heather attends Allen Free Will Baptist Church, where she helps with kids ministry. In the future, Heather hopes to become a pediatrician.

Heather is escorted by Ethan Esparza. Ethan is the son of Leslie Ferguson and Jason Noe. Ethan is a varsity football player and a varsity track runner. Ethan is a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school, Ethan cleans up the highway in honor of his late cousin, Bradon Playford. Eventually, Ethan would like to attend OU and start his own family someday.

The first senior candidate is Karsyn Garcia. Karsyn is the daughter of Carlos and Julie Garcia. Karsyn is a member of the National Honor Society. She has been in cheer for 12 years. In the future, Karsyn plans to attend OU and become a surgeon.

Karsyn is escorted by Kandon Williams. Kandon is the son of Micheal Thompson, Korie Williams, and Elizabeth Thompson. Kandon is a four-year letterman in football. He is a member of FCA and participates in Young Life. In the future, Kandon hopes to attend a four-year college and play football.

The next senior candidate is Corinne Givens. Corinne is the daughter of Audra and Greg Givens. Corinne has received recognition as KOTV/Sonic’s Student of the Week and Rotary’s Junior of the Month. Corinne has a weighted GPA of 4.36 and is an academic letterman. Corinne is a manager for cross country and track. She is the National Honor Society President, Senior Class President, and Key Club Vice President. Outside of school, Corinne attends LifeChurch. She plans to attend college at the University of Oklahoma.

Corinne is escorted by Christopher Jones. Christopher is the son of Brian and Misty Jones. Christopher has been a member of NHS for three years and is on the A-B honor roll. He is a two-year varsity baseball player. Christopher is a member of Key Club, Student Council, and FCA. Outside of school, Christopher attends Allen Free Will Baptist Church, where he is an active youth group member. He has been on a mission to New Orleans with his church. In the future, Christopher plans on playing collegiate baseball and obtaining a degree in accounting.



The next senior candidate is Christina Kellogg. Christina is the daughter of Jamie and Evangelina Kellogg. Christina has been a member of varsity cheer for three years and performing arts for four years. Christina was the sophomore class president. Outside of school, Christina attends LifeChurch Jenks.

Christina is escorted by Dru Anglin. Dru is the son of Hank and Angie Anglin. Dru is a two-year academic letterman and is on the A honor roll. Dru played in the Texas league all star game as a bullpen catcher. He is a four-year player for the Sapulpa baseball team. Dru is a member of Key Club and Blue Crew. Outside of school, Dru attends Allen Free Will Baptist Church. He works at Studio One and Happy Hollow Gun Range. In the future, Dru plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and receive his masters degree in Naval Architecture. He hopes to open his own architecture firm, Thomas Dean Enterprises.

The next senior candidate is Audrey Malay. Audrey is the daughter or Ron Malay and Annalisa and Darren Neal. Audrey is co-captain of the volleyball team. She has received the Vype Athlete of the Month award and is a four-year letterman in volleyball. Audrey is a member of the National Honor Society and Circle of Friends. She is the president of the Michael B. Jordan fan club. Outside of school, Audrey attends First Christian Church and enjoys doing volunteer work. In the future, Audrey plans to get a degree in health and fitness and become a yoga instructor. She hopes to open her own studio and help teenage girls with eating disorders to empower themselves through yoga.

Audrey is escorted by Gage Williams. Gage is the son of Gary and Kim Williams. Gage has achieved an academic letter and is a three-year letterman in baseball. He was named Student of the Month last year. Gage is on the Sapulpa Chieftain baseball team and a member of Blue Crew. Outside of school, Gage attends Free Will Baptist Church where he is a part of the youth group. In the future, Gage plans to attend Wichita State University on a baseball scholarship and major in business.

The final senior candidate is Libby Watson. Libby is the daughter of Bob and Robyn Watson. She is a member of the National Honor Society and maintains a 4.0 GPA. Libby is also a member of the Ping Pings. Outside of school, Libby attends Kellyville First Baptist Church. In the future, Libby plans to attend Northeastern State University and become a physician’s assistant.

Libby is escorted by Daniel Jackson. Daniel is the son of Leslie Rentz Jackson and Robert Jackson. Daniel is an academic letterman and has a lettered in golf. Daniel is in competitive speech and debate and was in the school play "Thoroughly Modern Millie." Daniel is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society. In the future, Daniel plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and major in film and media studies.
