A look at Homecoming activities this week

2018 Homecoming parade(SPS) -- Homecoming has arrived.

From the parade to the community rally to the coronation and finally, to the game, Homecoming is a grand affair for everyone to get behind.

On Friday night the Chieftains take on the Bartlesville Bruins at Collins Stadium in this year’s Homecoming tilt. Sapulpa comes in at 3-1 while Bartlesville is looking for its first win of the season.

Before the game kicks off at 7 p.m. here’s a schedule of events for the week.

Homecoming Parade - Thursday, Oct. 3

The parade will begin at the corner of Dewey and Poplar at 6:30 p.m. The floats will make their way down Dewey and finish up in the parking lot at the high school.

Following the parade, the community pep rally will take place at Collins Stadium. The approximate start time is 7:30 p.m.

Homecoming - Friday, Oct. 4


The Junior High and High School kick off the day with the Homecoming Assembly at 12:30 p.m. and after the final bell rings, it’s time!

At 5:30 p.m., the games begin at Chieftain Alley with help from the City of Sapulpa Parks and Recreation Department. Chieftains Boys Basketball will fire up the grill and Charlie’s T’s will have spirit wear for sale.

The gates to the stadium also open at 5:30. First United Bank will hand out Blue-Out shirts.

Be in your seat by 6:15 p.m. That’s when the Homecoming activities begin. You don't want to miss the coronation!



Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and you certainly don't want to miss the game! You never know when a blocked extra point in overtime secures the win!
