Home of the 1997-98 Girls State Champions.

Cross Country is a fall sport that focuses on training for distance races. We have three teams - Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Junior High. Freshmen will be placed on either the Varsity or Junior Varsity teams. We train primarily on the roads, trails, and parks near the Westside Sports Complex. We also travel to various parks, courses, and campuses to compete against other schools during September and October.

XC is a one-semester sport which allows student-athletes to compete in winter or spring sports such as baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, tennis, or track. We don't have tryouts and we keep as many runners as we feel are committed to the team. We have multiple training groups to accommodate runners of various abilities ranging from beginner to advanced State qualifiers.

Our team has traveled to Missouri, Arkansas, and Colorado as well as all over Oklahoma to compete. Several of our former athletes have gone on to earn All-American honors in college, and one is currently training for the Olympic trials.

Interested students should put Cross Country on their enrollment form and coaches will get more information to you in the spring.
