(SPS) - On your mark. Get set. Cook!
And with that, our six chef-
testants began cooking their favorite recipe for a panel of judges in our Junior Chef cook-off contest Tuesday night.
The students who will be competed were:
Jaiden Montgomery - Holmes Park Elementary
Rylee Gentry - Holmes Park Elementary
Tera Petschke - Holmes Park Elementary
Jacob Hinman - Holmes Park Elementary
Myleigh Slitzker - Freedom Elementary
Kate Bryant - Freedom Elementary
Each of them worked with a member of the Child Nutrition staff and had one hour to cook their kid-friendly dish. The recipe must promote a healthy lifestyle.
The winner,
Kate Bryant, received a $100 VISA gift card. The second-place finisher,
Tera Petschke, received a $50 VISA gift card and the third-place chef,
Myleigh Slitzker, received a $25 VISA gift card. All chef-
testants received their own apron and hat to wear in the kitchen.
