Sapulpa Public School Head Baseball Coach, Steve Irvine, was honored as the Region 7 Baseball Coach of the Year. Coach Irvine has made an immediate impact both on and off the field from the outset of his tenure as Head Coach, beginning in 2016. His Varsity squad earned a cumulative team GPA of 3.5 and was recognized by the OSSAA with the Distinguished Academic Plaque. On the diamond, Sapulpa Baseball more than doubled the number of wins from 2016 to 2017 and was voted 'Most Improved Team' by District 7 Coaches. Perhaps most impressive, six of eleven seniors, since 2016, have received college scholarships while under Coach Irvine's tutelage.
