DonorsChoose and Sapulpa Public Schools logosSapulpa Public Schools has announced a new partnership with the national nonprofit DonorsChoose to help teachers tap into a network of 4 million donors to support classroom projects and more seamlessly align with district strategy and operations.

Teachers in Sapulpa Public Schools have raised $121,357 and completed over 206 projects on DonorsChoose. These projects vary from books to laptops and other tools to enhance the learning environment and support student success.

"We're very excited to join the DonorsChoose District Partnership Program because it opens up new opportunities for teachers to fund projects that will help them provide the kind of educational experiences our students need to be prepared to thrive in the 21st Century," said Superintendent Robert Armstrong. "By partnering with DonorsChoose, we can better support Sapulpa teachers who are creating lessons that increase students' excitement about coming to school every day."

On Tuesday, May 4, starting at 6 a.m. every donation to a project on DonorsChoose will be matched 50 percent thanks to SONIC Drive-In, while funds last. A $20 donation will become $30, a $100 donation will become a $150 donation, and so on.

As one of the 120+ members of the DonorsChoose District Partnership Program, Sapulpa Public Schools will be able to fully support teachers in the use of the platform, ensure safety and security, and align efforts with the district's strategic priorities. Sapulpa Public Schools will be able to monitor all donated materials, principals will be notified each time a project is funded, and receive early notification when there are new "match" funding opportunities.

"We're excited to have Sapulpa Public Schools as a new member of the DonorsChoose District Partnership Program," said Charles Best, founder, and CEO of DonorsChoose. "Sapulpa Public Schools teachers and administrators continue to work hard to make sure students succeed, so far they've raised $121,357 towards learning materials from donors across the country. We can't wait to see how the DonorsChoose community can support these educators even more through our partnership."
