Calip to be inducted into Hall of Fame

Darlean Calip(SPS) - Hall of Fame.

Basketball coach Darlean Calip will be inducted into the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame this summer.

“[I am] super excited and consider it both a privilege and honor to represent so many wonderful and successful young ladies that I have had the honor of coaching and mentoring,” said Calip, who's been at Sapulpa since 2005.

Calip has 31 years of high school and collegiate coaching experience, with the last 20 as a head coach. She has a career record of 314-128 from her time leading programs here at Sapupla as well as at Moore and Jenks.

And, this isn’t the first hall of fame for Coach Calip. She’s also been inducted into the East Central University Hall of Fame.
