Middle School STEM students competed in the student version of the Great Raft Race on Labor Day. Leading up to the event, students had to design and make a boat with only cardboard and duct tape. Each boat had to be big enough for a student to sit in.
Unfortunately, none of the SMS boats floated. However, Brycen Teeter won a trophy--"Most Soaked"--because his boat immediately sunk! Ms. Bryan,
SMS STEM teacher, thought it was a great event and looks forward to continuing the tradition next year!
