Special meeting of Sapulpa BOE to approve revision/modification of the 2017-18 school year calendar.(SPS) - May 25 is the official last day of school on the 2017-18 calendar for students.

A special meeting of the Board of the Education for Sapulpa Public Schools was held April 18 for the board to vote on a motion to revise/modify the current school year calendar to reflect a daily time change and a new end of school date.

The motion was unanimously approved 4-0. Member Sarah Havenstrite was absent.

In addition to the new final day of instruction:

-- PLC Mondays will be suspended
-- Ten minutes will be added to the beginning of the remaining school days.

These school day changes take effect April 23.


The daily schedule and PLC Fridays at Liberty STEM will not change as it already observes an extended calendar.

New start times beginning April 23 are as follows:

7:50 a.m. - High School, Junior High School, Bartlett Academy
8 a.m. - Middle School
8:50 a.m. - Freedom, Holmes Park, Jefferson Heights

Buses will be at your child’s stop 10 minutes earlier.

Schools will dismiss at the normal times each afternoon.

Graduation is still scheduled for May 18. Seniors’ final day of instruction is May 17.

If you have questions regarding final exams, please contact your child’s school for that information. Finals are determined by school administration.
